Anita’s new mathematics leadership professional learning is offered as a six-month course consisting of three face-to-face workshops, hosted by primary schools across NSW. The course is designed for teams of up to 6 educators and are open to anyone, from any sector and any school. Individual leaders are also very welcome to attend.

Your school team can include: 

  • a school leader (Principal, DP, AP)
  • a Mathematics leader (executive or non-executive)
  • a Numeracy Instructional Leader
  • passionate teachers of maths who are driving maths at their school (eg aspiring leaders)

Course Description

Leading mathematics at a Primary School requires tools for implementing the NSW Mathematics K-10 Syllabus as well as strategies to help leaders build their teachers capacity to differentiate instruction. This course brings your maths team together for a six-month journey with Anita Chin. The focus will be on creating a consistent whole-school approach to the teaching and learning of Mathematics at your primary school.

Anita will provide you with a complete toolkit of resources in the first whole day workshop. She will then be your mentor as you move through the process of learn, plan, implement, review, share, reflect and refine which will allow you to stay on track and continue to transform the teaching and learning of maths at your school.

Completing Leading Mathematics at Your Primary School: A Complete Toolkit will contribute 9 hours of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Registered PD addressing 2.5.2 and 6.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
